Maybe more than any other time of the year, the Christmas season evokes fond memories and fosters traditions that play such an important part in our family life and in our community. Hometown Christmas, one of Alliston BIAs feature events, serves to bring friends and families together to share in the spirit of the season.

On Saturday, November 22 many made their way to Mill Street to spend time with Santa’s Reindeer, decorate some Christmas cookies, get their face painted, and enjoy some holiday music while sipping hot chocolate. There was even the opportunity to visit with Santa at Bern’s flowers, get your picture take and give Santa your Christmas wish list. To top the day off, there was a fantastic Tree Lighting ceremony on Mill Street, followed by the Rotary Night-Lit Parade at 6pm.

With so many Christmas inspired activities to enjoy with family and friends, it certainly was a fun and festive, “hometown” event that was enjoyed by all.
