Alliston merchants are doing something “frightfully good” for their businesses and community by participating in this year’s annual Hallowe’en “Frightfully Fun Family Event!”
Alliston Business Improvement Association will be hosting this event in their downtown on Saturday, October 29th from 12:00pm-4:00pm.
Each participating store will setup a kid’s activity station where the trick-or-treaters take part in a fun activity in the store and get their “Hallowe’en Passport” stamped in each store they visit. The ABIA will provide passports and stamps and at the end of the day, the passports are collected and drawn for prizes.
Also this year the ABIA will be hosting a Bring Your Pumpkin Downtown Contest. Pumpkin carvers of all abilities are encouraged to bring their already-carved pumpkins to the BIA host fun stations at the farmers market on Mill street and enter their creations in any of the three categories Scary, Funny, Stencil. Winners will be voted on by the public with ballots available at the ABIA host fun station .There will also be an Overall Winner category.
For more information on Alliston businesses please call Christine Brayford at (705) 435-1787 or abia@town.newtecumseth.on.ca to get involved!
